OpenAI Status

OpenAI’s status page tracks incident reports and maintenance windows for the OpenAI API, ChatGPT, and related services. The model-deprecation calendar is the other half of the picture: when older models are retired, what the replacement is, and the timeline.

Two distinct failure modes show up here. The first is acute (a model is briefly degraded or unavailable, and the status page logs the incident). The second is slow (a model is deprecated months in advance, and teams that don’t migrate find their integrations break on the cutover date).
