Redis

Redis’s GitHub Releases page carries the full changelog, and breaking changes are flagged inline in the body text of each release rather than collected into a dedicated section. Scanning for them means reading prose, not consulting a structured table; the signal is present but the format requires patience.

The consequence surfaces most sharply at major-version boundaries. RDB format versions increment between major releases, and Redis 7.0 introduced multi-part AOF as the default persistence layout; both changes make rolling back an upgraded instance a data migration, not a config revert. ACL semantics, RESP3 protocol defaults, and OBJECT ENCODING output shapes have also shifted across the 6.x and 7.x releases in ways that affect production deployments without necessarily appearing as errors at startup.
