The AWS Lambda troubleshooting page functions as the known-issues doc even though it is named “troubleshooting.” It covers cold-start variance, init-timeout edge cases, regional-outage behavior, and the long list of subtle ways your function can fail to execute or fail to return.

The AWS Status page (linked) is the operational companion. Between them, you can usually determine whether your Lambda is broken or whether the platform is. The platform is, more often than the marketing suggests.
